Claudine Barretto avoids issues with Jodi Sta. Maria
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto reacted to the absence of Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria at the tribute party organized for star maker Johnny Manahan, also known as Mr. M.
Claudine is one of Mr. M’s “anak-anakan” in showbiz. The actress was one of the original Star Magic babies. The star maker handled the Kapamilya talent management company for many years.
Just recently, a tribute party was organized for him and many former and present Star Magic artists graced the event to show love for him.
Claudine Barretto was one of the artists who attended the said party. After the event, it was noticed that Jodi Sta Maria was absent. In a vlog released by talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, he said that his source revealed that the organizer decided to cancel the invitation sent to Jodi.
It was said that the Kapamilya actress was indeed invited but this was reversed because allegedly, the organizer prioritized the presence of Claudine. Jodi is the current girlfriend of Claudine’s estranged husband Raymart Santiago. To recall, the Optimum Star has some fiery statements against the Kapamilya actress.
In a recent interview, Claudine reacted to this speculation, based on the article in PEP. She said that there was no need to create an issue with Jodi’s absence at the event.
Claudine also said that she knows nothing about this. “No! Hindi ko alam yan,” the actress said. She is also aware that there were issues that circulated but she clarified that she has nothing to do with Jodi’s absence.
“Kasi ano po, she has as much right to be there as I am… as I should be there,” Claudine said. She pointed out that it was their mentor’s party and Jodi also has the right to there. “So, hindi po totoo yun. Wala po akong ganung power para gawin yun. Hindi talaga,” she added.
Claudine Barretto also said that she had no idea if Jodi Sta Maria backed out or had another engagement at that time.
