ESTHER LAHBATI – Sarah Lahbati’s mother faced criticism for using plastic containers to serve food to their household staff.

Esther Lahbati started to receive backlash after she posted a short reel on Instagram titled “Lunch Saturday Chill.” The video quickly spread like a wildfire online and garnered reactions from the netizens.

In the video, Mrs. Esther can be seen scooping up sautéed ‘malunggay’ pods. She also cooked chicken tinola and Basmati rice. She mentioned in the caption that the meal was for their driver, whom they treat like family.

Esther even proudly stated that the vegetables came from her garden. Many netizens praised the Lahbati family’s respectful treatment of their driver and household workers.

However, some critics targeted Sarah’s mother, specifically criticizing the use of plastic containers for storing food.

One netizen commented on the use of Moroccan plates, suggesting they should have their own bowls instead of using containers that once held noodles. Mrs. Esther quickly defended herself, stating that their employees have their own plates and questioned why it was an issue.
