Paolo Contis has this meaningful statement about his discontinued show
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis has this request for the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang after his noontime show Tahanang Pinakamasaya was discontinued.
Paolo was one of the main hosts of the noontime show produced by TAPE Inc. It was the show that replaced the Eat Bulaga of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. On March 12, the show’s hosts had their emotional closing spiel which hinted at the show’s end. Later on, it was confirmed that TAPE decided to discontinue the show.
It was rumored that Paolo cried in the dressing room after the show said their final goodbye to their viewers.
Rumors also surfaced that Paolo Contis had “tampo” to GMA after what happened to his noontime show. The actor debunked this. He stressed that he will forever be grateful to the Kapuso network because the company has been supportive of him.
During the Best Time Ever campaign of GMA, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Paolo could not stop himself from making his request for Bubble Gang which started airing in 1995. In recent years, the gag show led by Michael V, also known as Bitoy, included Paolo in the cast.
He asked the public to help their gag show reach its 50th year because they weren’t able to do this for Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
“Tulungan nyo po kami dahil gusto namin paabutin ng 50 years ang Bubble Gang. ‘Yung isang show kasi hindi namin napaabot ng 50 years, pero okay lang. Sorry, hindi ko napigilan,” the actor said.
His Bubble Gang co-star Chariz Solomon said, “Naisuka niya!”
Meanwhile, it is rumored that Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime will replace Tahanang Pinakamasaya. The show led by Vice Ganda is currently airing on GTV that is also owned by GMA.
