Jake Cuenca talked about his new series
Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca shared his thoughts on his first project with his best friend actor Paulo Avelino.
Jake and Paulo have been friends for many years now. They are both in the Kapamilya network but it is only just recently that they did a project together. It is the Pinoy version of the hit South Korean series What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?
In the series, they will play rivals, the love interests of the character of Secretary Kim, played by Kim Chiu.
Jake Cuenca expressed happiness during a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, that finally he and Paulo Avelino. He said that for the first time, he and Paulo are together on a project which is far from their previous projects.
“We’ve always been wondering, ‘why don’t they put us in a project together?’ So parang ang galing kasi the show is…certainly, parang it’s not the typical things that me and Paulo do. It’s not a drama or it’s not action,” Jake said.
He also shared being on the set made him nervous because he is working with his best friend and he knows how good Paulo is as an actor.
Paulo also praised Jake’s professionalism aside from his talent. He said that Jake is always straight to the point when it comes to his character.
“He knows his character well, so it’s just like a switch of a… like a light switch, he can turn it on and off. So, there was no problem,” Paulo said, adding that it is an honor for him to work with Jake finally.
Meanwhile, Jake Cuenca also received good words from his fellow actor Diego Loyzaga. He said that Jake is a good actor, and this pushed him to have a good performance also.
