Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Delegates – Watch the Official Introduction Video Now!
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2024 – The 2024 Miss Universe Philippines contest remains a source of excitement for pageant enthusiasts, as they eagerly anticipate the unveiling of the delegates’ introduction video, which was made available online.
The quest for the next Miss Universe Philippines has officially commenced, featuring 55 candidates who have been formally introduced. Last month, the contenders for the 2024 edition of the pageant were revealed to the public.
The anticipation for the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines competition soared as the delegates’ introduction video was released online following weeks of showcasing their photographs on social media platforms. The unveiling of the video, scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 15 via the official YouTube channel of Empire Philippines, generated significant buzz.
Empire Philippines oversees not only the Miss Universe Philippines pageant but also its sister search, The Miss Philippines Culture and Heritage Celebration, along with the male competition Mister Pilipinas Worldwide.
In the introduction video, the 55 delegates provided glimpses into their backgrounds and aspirations, offering a deeper understanding of their lives and personalities beyond what photos and brief clips could convey.
Furthermore, the video marked the beginning of the eagerly awaited video challenge series, which has been a tradition among devoted pageant enthusiasts. This series consists of various videos showcasing the delegates’ entries across different categories such as glam, swimsuit, and runway.
Last year’s Runway Challenge saw reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Marquez Dee securing a spot among the Top 5 delegates, while Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol, who later clinched the title of Miss Supranational Philippines, emerged as a frontrunner in the runway category and even topped the Swimsuit Challenge. However, the release dates for this year’s video challenge series have yet to be announced.
This edition of the pageant marks its fifth standalone search for the country’s representative in the annual Miss Universe competition. Michelle Marquez Dee achieved a Top 10 placement in the global competition held in El Salvador last year.
The winner of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines title will represent the Philippines in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, slated to take place in Mexico later this year, aiming to secure the nation’s fifth victory in the prestigious international competition.
The Philippines has previously produced four Miss Universe winners: Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
