It’s Showtime To Replace Tahanang Pinakamasaya In GMA?

Will It’s Showtime be the replacement?

IT’S SHOWTIME of ABS-CBN is allegedly going to fill in the empty time slot left by Tahanang Pinakamasaya when it ended.

Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ officially ended its run effective March 8, 2024. TAPE released an official statement about this matter and expressed gratitude for the “long and fruitful partnership” with GMA.

On the other hand, GMA also released a statement which said that the closure is due to unavoidable circumstances. For now, the empty time slot left by TAPE’s noontime show is replaced by Lunchtime Movie Hits.

Recently, there was a report that surfaced online claiming that ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime will be filling in as the replacement. According to the writing of L. Guerrero of Pilipino Star Ngayon, ABS-CBN and GMA are now finalizing the agreement details of this partnership.

This partnership will also allow freedom to the artists of these two former rivals. To recall, Showtime is currently airing on GTV. Last July, the Kapamilya noontime show moved to GTV in July 2023 after declining the delayed telecast offer of TV5. This gave way for “Eat Bulaga!” to be aired in TV5 with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon as the main hosts.

The report said:

Abangan!

Meanwhile, in a previous article, some of the final moments of TAPE were shown and circulated online. It showed clips of emotional hosts as they bid goodbye from the show and their audience. The show ran for eight months.

For the meantime, replacing “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” is “Lunchtime Movie Hits” that begins at 12 noon wherein Filipino movies are shown. This puts “Abot-Kamay na Pangarap” at 2:00 PM, “Lilet Matias, Attorney-At-Law” at 3:00 PM, “Makiling” at 3:55 PM and “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” at 4:40 PM.
