A report clarified the rumors that surfaced about the financial status of veteran TV host Willie Revillame.
Kuya Wil is one of the richest celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry. He has already established different properties. However, a recent rumor was focused on the financial status of the veteran showbiz personality as he was allegedly selling some of his properties.
It was said in a previous article that Willie sold his yacht and someone close to him was asked about this. The source said that the TV host sold his smaller yacht.
PEP columnist Jojo Gabinete clarified something about the rumors that Willie Revillame is facing a financial problem.
The columnist stressed that there is no truth to the rumor that Willie sold his mansion in Cavite and his yacht to billionaire businessman Antonio “Tony” Co because he is already “naghihirap.”
It was also rumored that he needed a big amount of money for the return of his variety show Wowowin. Gabinete said that it is true that Willie and Tony Co have a connection. It is because the billionaire businessman has been renting Willie’s hotel with PHP5 billion market value, not the mansion, for ten years.
Gabinete also shared that it is true that Willie sold to Co his 94-foot yacht named “Will Cruiser” because it is no longer practical to have two yachts. He sold that because he already bought a new one which he called “Goodwill.”
Aside from the said yacht, Willie also owns two helicopters, the Bell 430 and Robinson R66 (2022 model).
The columnist also clarified that Co has nothing to do with Willie’s show Wowowin. Gabinete said that it is not true that the billionaire businessman is the finance of the TV host for his TV comeback.
It was also said that Willie Revillame’s show, which he is producing, is set to return after Holly Week and the construction of the Wowowin studio at Sta. Lucia East Mall, Cainta, Rizal will commence.
