One of the industry’s well-loved and most admired actresses was Jaclyn Jose. A few days ago, Jaclyn’s death has been reported. In an official announcement, her daughter Andi Eigenmann confirmed the death and revealed that her untimely passing was because of a heart attack. They did not, however, elaborate the series of events that led to this.
But apart from Andi, the late multi-awarded actress has another child, her only son named Gwen Garimond Ilagan Guck. He is Andi’s half-brother and younger sibling.
Gwen was born on June 15, 2001, and when the actress was still alive, she noted him as “the only man” in her life. He is Jaclyn’s son with guitarist Kenneth Garimond Ilagan who used to play for bands such as The Dawn, True Faith, Violent Playground, and Xaga.
Jaclyn’s only son studied at the Ateneo de Manila University. There were times when he was offered acting projects and opportunities but refused to accept any citing that he’d rather want to finish his studies first.
When she was still alive, she was making efforts to let her son witness her work in the industry to give him a glimpse and an idea of it. He was even spotted several times escorting his mom to events like awarding ceremonies and premiere nights. She mentioned before that she thinks her son wants to be a film scorer.
Just like his guitarist father, he is also into music. He found his passion in the music industry. He is the bassist of Suspiria Pink and the other band members are Diego Cerrudo as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Carlos Benson as the drummer and songwriter, and Waki Ignacio as the lead guitarist.
