PNP has this statement on the death of Jaclyn Jose
The family of the late actress Jaclyn Jose believed that there was no foul play in her death that shocked the entertainment industry.
Jaclyn’s death at 59 received shocked reactions from netizens and her fellow celebrities. The most recent appearance that she had was on the Kapamilya primetime series Batang Quiapo.
She is known for her unique acting style that is commonly imitated in funny discussions and would sometimes become memes.
PPL Entertainment Inc., the talent management company handling Jaclyn Jose’s career released an official statement on March 3 confirming that she died on March 2.
Because of this, the late actress became a trending topic on social media as many people expressed their sadness while celebrities paid tribute to her. The statement that Jaclyn’s management released did not include information about the cause of her death.
In a report from Inquirer, it was said that the Philippine National Police’s statement stressed that Jaclyn’s family believed that there was no foul play in her death.
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said, “The family is asking for privacy, and they believe that there is no foul play in her death. We are sympathizing with her family and friends.” The PNP did not release also the cause of death. Fajardo stressed that Jaclyn’s family wanted to keep the details about the death of the actress private.
As of this writing, Jaclyn’s daughter actress Andi Eigenmann, who is now based in Siargao, has not released a statement yet on the death of her mother. However, Andi received heartfelt messages of sympathy from her social media followers amid the grief that their family is experiencing.
Jaclyn Jose, born Mary Jane Guck, was a multi-awarded actress who became the first-ever Filipina to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016 for the movie Ma’Rosa.
