Police Officer Uses Peppa Pig Music to Find Missing Child

A police officer was able to find an eight-year-old child with autism using Peppa Pig music after long hours of search.

In Jiangxi province, China, local police responded to a report about the disappearance of an eight-year-old child named Lu, who has autism.

Police Officer Xu Haozhan led the search and rescue operation after the child’s mother informed them about his condition and provided details about his appearance and clothing.

“The child’s mother told us he has autism and some intellectual disabilities. We inquired about the child’s physical characteristics and what he was wearing, then started searching,” the police officer said.

Due to broken surveillance cameras, tracing Lu’s location proved challenging for the police, property management, and the family. Despite searching stairwells and rooftops for over six hours, they found no leads.

The cop came up with a novel idea. Knowing Lu wouldn’t respond to his name, he played Peppa Pig music, a show the child enjoyed, hoping to attract his attention.

The cop’s calls went unanswered in the darkness but the faint sound of the music eventually led them to the missing kid. He was discovered trapped behind a three-meter wall after attempting to climb to the rooftop.

By that time it was very dark and we were getting no response when we called him, so we started playing the music and heard a very faint sound,” Xu explained.

The kid underwent a medical check-up and was found unharmed after long hours of search. He was safely reunited with his family.
