Because of his successful career back then, Aga Muhlach was able to save money and acquire the ability to purchase luxurious cars and other properties and also developed a fondness for expensive leisure activities.

However, as he aged, Aga’s inclination towards material things diminished, according to his interview with Ogie Diaz. Not because nag-downgrade ako but because I don’t need it anymore because I don’t go out,” he shared.

Aga Muhlach admits that there were times when he used to splurge on his interests when he was younger. He said, “Before when active ka sa labas, kung saan ka active, nando’n ang gastos mo, e. Kung active ka sa bars, clubs, siyempre, poporma ka, you know. You need your nice cars and ganyan, ‘di ba, pero naka-balance ako no’n. ‘Di ako all-out na gano’n pero minsan may gano’n din ako. Waldas din ako, parang nagkakamali ka rin.”

As time changes, Aga says that priorities also change. I would buy talaga from time to time. I love to be at home, houses. Walang nakakaalam no’n kasi nga parang hirap kami sa privacy, ‘di ba? So, dahil ‘di ka basta-basta nakakapunta sa resort, so parang you create your own. So, gano’n lang ang buhay, ‘yun ang pinaglalaanan namin ngayon,” he said.

At present, the prominent actor is more prudent in his expenditures because he also considers them as investments. “Minsan ‘pag natapos ‘yon, ‘yung mga gano’ng bagay in the past becomes your investments also because if you don’t need it anymore, then you can sell it. Then, when you sell it, kunwari, ‘yung pinagpagawa mo ng isang libong piso dati nabenta mo ng isang daang libong piso, e ‘di kumita ka nang malaki. Na-enjoy mo na.”

Aga Muhlach reportedly experienced hitting rock bottom during the peak of his fame, which taught him to handle his money wisely.

Ayoko masyadong takot. Ayoko matakot sa buhay. Basta happy ka lang.”

Despite the fame, he also said that it’s important to remain humble. “I think anything we plant now is what we will reap.
