The SSS Funeral Benefit claim must be processed within 10 years since the death of the member. There are two (2) ways in filing for a claim to the Social Security System:
- If the claimant is also a member of the Social Security System, the claim may be filed online through the My.SSS account at www.sss.gov.ph.
- If the claimant is not a member of the SSS, the claim application may be personally filed at a branch of the Social Security System.
