K Brosas Confirms Passing Of Her Beloved Adoptive Mother

Maria Carmela Brosas, popularly known as K Brosas, is a versatile Filipino entertainer who has excelled as a singer, comedian, and actress. Her journey to fame commenced in the comedy bars of Manila, where she garnered popularity for her comedic skills and performances, eventually expanding her influence in the music industry.
Aside from her musical accomplishments, K Brosas has ventured into acting, making appearances in various television shows and films. Known for her sharp wit, humor, and vibrant personality, she has become a prominent figure in the Philippine entertainment scene.
Currently, K Brosas is mourning the recent passing of her mother, expressing her love and gratitude through a heartfelt message. The comedian shared this somber news on her Instagram page on Friday, Feb. 23, accompanied by a black-and-white photo featuring dove silhouettes and the words “Rest in Peace.”
In the post’s caption, she wrote: “Mama, maraming maraming salamat sa lahat (thank you so much for everything). I love you. Rest in heaven’s glory.”
On her Instagram Stories, Brosas shared pictures of them taken in 2016 and 2019 during their time in Italy, where the rest of her family resides.
Condolences and prayers poured into the comments section from fans and fellow celebrities, including messages from Pokwang, Vina Morales, Darren Espanto, Arnel Pineda, and Candy Pangilinan.
Brosas’ mother, who adopted and brought her up, is the sibling of the comedian’s biological mother. Affectionately, Brosas often referred to her as “Mama” in earlier interviews.
In an interview with broadcaster Karen Davila in October 2023, Brosas discussed her bond with her Mama and disclosed that their final conversation took place during the height of the pandemic. She admitted that a miscommunication had led to their loss of contact.
