Ricci Rivero & Leren Mae Bautista Share the Beginning of Their Love Story
RICCI RIVERO – Controversial couple Ricci Rivero and Leren Mae Bautista finally share the beginning of their love story.
Ricci Rivero and Leren Mae Bautista admitted that the viral photo of them during a feeding program in the past was also the beginning of their conversation. In this Friday’s Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the controversial couple openly shared some details about their relationship.
It was also the first time the beauty queen and Los Baños, Laguna councilor Leren was seen on screen. Leren admitted that they started talking when Ricci organized a feeding program for his birthday in their area last year.
Leren Mae Bautista said, “Nag-start talaga Tito Boy during that feeding program, ‘yun naman talaga. Doon ko rin siya nakita in person, nakausap din.”
The politician further narrated that she got snubbed by the basketball player back then. “Impression Tito Boy, ‘yung tinanong mo sa ‘kin talagang, ‘Hmm ano ba’to?’ At first parang, ‘A, okay artista nga talaga, artista talaga siya. Sorry po sa ibang ano [artista] parang ano suplado,” said Leren.

According to Ricci Rivero, he didn’t intentionally act aloof or snobbish in Leren’s eyes. “Hindi Tito Boy. Alam niya kung anong reasons nun. Kilala niya naman na ako kung paano ako [kumilos],” Ricci explained.
The couple also admitted that they had small talks after the feeding program, which eventually became the starting point of their friendship.
Leren explained, “Feeling ko in a way Tito kasi ‘yung pumunta siya do’n to help our community and to have a very meaningful birthday celebration para do’n sa mga bata and sa mga tao po sa Los Baños it was really different.
“Kasi hindi naman po lahat ganun ‘yung ginagawa and ako naman po before, as a beauty queen, we do charity works din and natuwa lang din ako na mayroon silang heart to do that also and to bring back to the people and iba ‘yung nagagawa nun sa pakiramdam ng tao.”
But clarifying, Ricci contradicted the rumors circulating back then, stating that he and Leren did not plan the said feeding program. He claimed it was the first time they had ever met.
“Actually Tito Boy, hindi kaming dalawa ang nag-plan niyan. Ako, nagsabi lang ako do’n sa friend ko na kakilala dahil doon ako papunta sa kanila dahil galing ako sa Isabela that time and then sabi ko lang baka may kakila siyang puwedeng mag-organize ganun.
“Yearly ginagawa ko talaga siya before especially before the pandemic and the whole pandemic naman nag-try kami to help and give,” said Ricci.
“Doon lang siya talaga Tito Boy, hindi talaga namin planned. Hindi kami magkakilala before that, doon lang din kami nag-meet,” he added.
On October 21, 2023, Ricci confirmed in an Instagram post that he and Leren are “in a relationship.”
