Andres Muhlach is officially part of the entertainment industry
Newbie actor Andres Muhlach aims to follow in the footsteps of his father award-winning actor Aga Muhlach in showbiz.
Aga is one of the proofs that longevity can be attained in the Philippine entertainment industry. He started his career when he was just a teenager. From being a teen star, he was able to evolve into a serious dramatic actor. However, he also proved he has a comedic side through his defunct sitcom Oki Doki Dok.
Even now that he has grown-up twins with his wife Charlene Gonzalez, Aga is still an in-demand actor.
Aga Muhlach’s most recent movie is Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Pipiliin Ko with his young leading lady Julia Barretto. Aside from this, he will have a sitcom with his family on TV5. This will serve as Andres Muhlach’s showbiz debut.
Months after his twin sister Atasha Muhlach officially joined the entertainment industry by signing a contract with Viva Artist Agency, Andres also decided to be in showbiz. Previously, Aga said that it surprised them when his son told them that he wanted to be an actor.
The seasoned actor said that at a young age, they already knew that Atasha had an interest in showbiz and she was vocal about this. However, when it comes to Andres, he gives no sign that he will eventually be in showbiz.
Pang-Masa entertainment writer Ed de Leon shared in his recent article that perhaps Aga did not know that his son has dreams of being an actor. The writer also shared that Andres admitted that at a young age, they witnessed the achievements of their father in the entertainment industry.
“Ngayon inaamin ni Andres na bata pa sila, nakikita niya kung papaanong naabot ng tatay niya ang buhay ng maraming tao, dahil siya ay isang artista, dahil siya ay isang matinee idol, at secretly inaambisyon din niyang maabot ang ganoong kalagayan,” De Leon shared.
The writer added that Andres Muhlach can reach this status also because he is starting his showbiz career.
