List of Metals in the Periodic Table of Elements and their Nature

Here’s the List of Metals in the Periodic Table of Elements & their Characteristics

LIST OF METALS – Here are the metallic elements in the Periodic Table and the nature of this type of element.

In the Philippine educational system, several subjects are discussed to the students. One of these subjects is Science which is taught from kindergarten to college. There are a lot of topics under this subject and they are arranged in a reasonable manner.

One of the topics taught under Science is the Periodic Table of Elements. It is a table indicating the different chemical elements presented in rows and columns. Among these elements are metals.

Metals have special a special characteristic of being solid at a room temperature. They are shiny and have a metallic luster and most of them have a high melting point. Most of them are good conductors of heat.

The list of metals in the Periodic Table of Elements include the elements that can be found in the left-hand side of the periodic table. It include the alkali metals, transition metals, alkaline earths, actinides, and lanthanides.

Metals have low ionization energies as well as low electronegativities. They are malleable or can be pounded into sheets as well as ductile or can be pulled into wires. They have density values as well just like the sodium, potassium, and lithium.

A lot of metals corrode in seawater or in air. Their atoms lose electrons in reactions or they form cations. They are used in making heat sinks, containers, weapons, jewelry, coins, wires and electrical appliances, etc. Here is a list of the metals in the Periodic Table of Elements:
