Victorias City Mayor Javi Benitez shared this post after Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi released a statement denying her affair with Bacolod City Albee Benitez.

Rumors linking Ivana and Mayor Albee have been circulating on social media these past few days. It was alleged that the mystery boyfriend of the actress is the mayor of the City of Smiles.

A video of them in the airport in Japan circulated online. This was after the Mayor was asked about linking her to a famous sultry actress and that they were together in Japan for a vacation.

After this circulated, Mayor Javi shared a cryptic post that caught the attention of the online community. In his Instagram Story, he wrote, “Money talks.”

Mayor Albee Benitez hinted at the “status” of his relationship with his wife. He said that they have long been not being a couple and legalities are being managed. However, the First Lady of Bacolod City Nikki Benitez said in a statement that this matter was not discussed privately which was supposed to be done.

Following that statement from Mayor Albee, Javi Benitez showed support and appreciation for his mom.

Just recently, Ivana Alawi has attempted to end the rumors linking him to Mayor Albee Benitez. Through her social media post, the Batang Quiapo actress directly denied that her non-showbiz boyfriend now is the Bacolod City Mayor.

She stressed in her statement that her boyfriend is a respectable businessman and not a politician. However, netizens are still talking about this issue on social media, especially when Mayor Javi shared a post on his Instagram Story minutes after Ivana released her statement.
