Kathryn Bernardo chose to remain a Kapamilya
Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo admitted that she received offers from other networks and talent management companies.
Kathyrn is one of ABS-CBN’s homegrown talents. At a young age, she has proven that she deserves a spot in the entertainment industry. With her star status, she is considered one of the most priced talents of the Kapamilya network.
Just recently, talks about the expiration of her contract with Star Magic, an ABS-CBN talent management company, fueled speculations that she will transfer to another network.
It was also rumored that she will be handled by Crown Artist Management (CAM), the talent management company established by actress Maja Salvador and her husband Rambo Nunez.
However, Star Magic immediately debunked her rumored transfer a few days before the contract signing happened. On February 2, Kathyrn Bernardo renewed her contract with ABS-CBN and she got emotional when she received a heartfelt message from the network’s executive Cory Vidanes.
During the press conference after the contract signing, Kathryn answered some issues, including the rumors linking her to Jericho Rosales after they were spotted jogging together. At that time, they were also with her friend John Manalo. She said that they were just having fun at that time.
Kathryn Bernardo also admitted that she received offers from other networks and for her, this is just normal, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon. She pointed out that it is a common thing that when an artist’s contract is about to expire, offers are really being presented.
“I’ve seen the articles the news, and for me naman kasi as a celebrity and siguro I can speak in general for the celebrities, when your contract is ending, normal naman talaga to get offers from different networks, managements, or whatever. Parang it’s a normal thing,” Kathryn shared.
She also said that there is no issue when an artist would decide to transfer. “And I don’t see anything wrong with it sa mga naka-decide na you know na lilipat. Desisyon mo ‘yun. We all have the freedom to decide kung sino ang gusto mong mag-manage sa ‘yo,” the Kapamilya actress said.
