Janella Salvador is happy to work with Piolo Pascual
Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador had the chance to be the onscreen partner of A-list actor Piolo Pascual in the movie Mallari.
Janella has proven her versatility when it comes to the acting projects she does. She proved that she can do both protagonist and antagonist roles. Aside from her acting stints, Janella also had stints when it came to her career in music.
Last year, she had the chance to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Mallari starring Piolo Pascual.
The film was based on the life of Father Juan Severino Mallari who was a Filipino Catholic priest and the first documented serial killer in the Philippines, based on the article in PUSH.
However, this film incorporated the elements of fantasy and thriller. Janella Salvador plays the character of Piolo’s partner. In a recent interview, the actress admitted that this project made her nervous.
“Pero kinabahan ako ng slight kasi hindi ko lang makakatrabaho dito si Papa P, partner ko siya dito. So kinabahan ako pero I coudln’t let it pass. Because he’s Piolo, just that,” she said and laughed.
Janella also shared that despite the status of Piolo in the entertainment industry, she never felt that he carries that title with him.
“He’s actually very generous. I could also see him really working hard for this role. Lahat kami dito parang we’re all really just trying to portray our roles na pantay pantay kami and he worked very hard for this one,” the actress shared.
Regarding the movie, Janella agreed with what Piolo said that love can be a curse. The actress said, without spoiling the film, that a person can do anything in the name of love. However, she said that personally, she does not think that love is a curse.
Meanwhile, Janella Salvador has a new movie with Thai actor Win Metawin titled Under Parallel Skies.
