The SSS is one of the government-run agencies that has launched an online platform to widen the reach of their services and cut long queus at their branch offices. There are several loans and benefit offers for the members and the state-run social insurance institution usually offers services to thousands of its member every day.
The Social Security System launched My.SSS where the members may apply for a loan online as well as file for a benefit claim. In fact, it is now possible to apply for SSS membership online, too.
One of the benefit offers is the Retirement Benefit. It is a benefit offer for members who have reached the age of retirement and decided to stop from working. Under it, the retiring member who has reached 120 monthly contributions may qualify for a monthly pension while those who did not reach the 120-monthly contribution requirement may get a lump sum.

- be between 60 to 64 years old upon the application for Retirement Benefit or at least 65 years old upon the date of the online filing of claim
- has registered in the My.SSS facility in the website of the Social Security System
- has a disbursement account enrolled in the Bank Enrollment Module of My.SSS such as the UMID-ATM, UBP Quick Card, or any PESONet-accredited bank
- has no cancelled or multiple SS number
- has no outstanding loan balance under the Stock Investment Loan Program, the Privatization Fund Loan Program, Educational Loan Program, and Vocational Technology Loan Program
