Jennylyn Mercado talked about a particular scene in her series with Xian Lim
Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado revealed the funny moment that she and her Love. Die. Repeat. leading man Xian Lim had while filming a particular scene.
Amid the pandemic, Jennylyn and Xian already started shooting for their TV series. However, they needed to stop because the actress got pregnant. Jennylyn took a break and after two years, she returned and started filming the series again with Xian.
The Kapuso network has released the teaser of this series which is about the life of a couple who faced the effect of death but things kept on repeating.
Just recently, the press conference for this project was held. Since this has a heavy drama theme, the stars of this series were asked if there was a light moment while they were shooting.
Jennylyn Mercardo shared that there was a particular scene when the character of Xian Lim died. He was lying on a morgue table without a shirt but a blanket was covering his body.
Jennylyn’s character was already crying but this prompted Xian to laugh. “Okay lang ba? Baka ma-offend ka. Ha-hahaha!” the actress asked her leading man if he wanted her to share that moment with the press.
She narrated the said scene and said, “Hindi ko alam na may kiliti siya. Yung patay, sinisiko ako!” Xian said that he is shy about this moment. “Nakahiga lang ako. Sabi ni Direk Jerry, ‘Huwag ka muna huminga, Xian! Nakikita kita! Puwede ba tumigil ka! Kasi ang hirap ng eksena, nagmamadali na lahat,” the actor explained.
He added that Jennylyn’s character and Shyr Valdez, who plays his mom in the series were crying and he had a hard time stopping himself from laughing and so he was pushing the actress by his elbow to make her leave already.
The actor also shared that the theme of the series is really heavy because it is about what a couple was going through. “Hindi naman puwede na mabigat na nga eksena, mabigat pa yung magkakasama. Siyempre after the scene, pagpag kayo. Mamaya, eksena ulit,” Jennylyn Mercado added.
