Pretty straightforward and laidback is the life in Siargao Island which many people are loving about it. No matter where you are in the Philippines, there are many ways in getting to this famous island and for most tourists, local or foreigner, they easily fell in love with the place.
Apart from going to the different tourist spots in Siargao, one of the best things to probably do here is surfing.
The island is know for the best surfing waves and enthusiasts even frequent this place just to dance with the waves. This is the reason why this is called the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. The most famous are the world-class waves in Cloud 9
Surfing seasons
- Peak Season is from late September to early December
- December to March in Giwan, Salvcation, Stimpy’s, and Rock Island
- During summer, the best spots to surf are Cemetary, Tuason, Cloud 9, Quiksilver, Jacking Horse
In Cloud 9, the best time to surf here is from September to November as the waves here can go as tall as 12 feet in some areas. Timing is important in surfing. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or expert, Siargao will always have something for you when it comes to surfing.
