Gerald Anderson knows that showbiz is not forever
Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson talked about the success he wants to achieve outside the entertainment industry.
Gerald has come a long way since he started his showbiz career through the reality show Pinoy Big Brother. He has done many TV and movie projects throughout his career and continue to do different projects.
Despite the success the he was able to have as a celebrity, Gerald opted to have a fall back in case he is no longer active in showbiz.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Gerald Anderson said that no one is sure what the future holds and it is important to always be prepared.
He recalled that back in his PBB days, people would comment that he will just last in showbiz for six to eight months. However, he has proven that he can achieve longevity in the industry.
He remembered that he received a lot of criticism and he endured them all. With everything that he has accomplished, the actor is aware that these can all be taken away from him.
“I want to prove to myself that when this happens, I will still be able to survive, that I will be able to take good care of my family. This is not to say I’m ready to leave show biz, I’m just saying we will all have to face challenges in life, so we have to be ready for them,” he said.
He also shared that over the years, he learned to give value to more important things. Gerald knows how to prepare for unexpected things to come, especially amid the pandemic.
“I realized that there are only a few things a person needs in order to live comfortably, and that some people spend so much on things that are of no use to them during the crisis,” he shared.
Gerald Anderson added that no one expected the pandemic and everyone now is slowly recovering from that, and everyone should learn a lesson from that experience.
