Bittersweet: In a post, Robi Domingo expresses feelings over his Ina’s death.
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo shared in his latest post that his grandmother died on the day of his wedding.
On January 6, couple Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda tied the knot. It was magical and very Filipiniana wedding. Robi and Maiqui’s wedding was held at Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan.
But after the happy event, a piece of heartbreaking news reached the new groom.
Based on the latest post of the Kapamilya star, his Lola passed away on the same day he tied the knot with his now wife. The wedding day itself was magical but it was also the same day his beloved grandmother passed away.
In his post, Domingo shared that he was only told about this sad news when he was about to leave the reception area that lasted until dawn. His sobbing mother reached him and revealed to him this news
He added, “As I was about to leave the place, my mom was sobbing as she tried to tell me that my Lola passed away that same morning. Apparently, my family didn’t tell us so that our focus was our magical day.”
The host remembered how great she was in making her ube halaya and Leche flan using llanera.
He furthered in thanking the people who were there at the wedding in the comment section of her post. The past few days were a roller coaster ride for them and added that they’ll be taking a breather from all these.

Meanwhile, their wedding was star-studded. Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Concert King Martin Nievera, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, Gab Valenciano, Darren Espanto, and P-pop supergroup SB19 were among the performers.
Also spotted were the ABS-CBN bosses and former couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
