Content Creator Touches Hearts of Netizens After Flexing Mom’s Simple “Pabaon”
A content creator touches many hearts after flexing his beloved mom’s simple ‘pabaon’ for him before heading off to work.
The Facebook page “Life Stories with Kuys Dyek” shared a photo of his mom’s simple packed meal for him. The post garnered positive reactions as Dyek shared the touching story behind the small act of love.
Dyek’s mom peeled the fruits and chilled them in the fridge before she went to bed last night. His mother handed it to him after he woke up at 4:00 am before he headed off to work.
The content creator recounted his parents’ humble beginnings. His mother is a former laundrywoman, and his father was a tricycle driver. Despite not having college degrees, all three of their children, including Dyek, have become professionals.
He attributes their success to hard work and acknowledges that it is all by the grace of God.
Dyek understands that some children may not feel connected to their parents. Maybe their parents weren’t as ‘responsible’ towards them. However, he believes that it is only right and just to honor and give back to their parents if they did everything they could to give them the best life.

“Back to work ako kanina. Tapos may “pabaon” na prutas si Mama sa akin.
Bago siya matulog kagabi, binalatan niya muna yung mga prutas, nilagay sa disposable tub, tapos pinalamig sa ref. May asin pa. Paggising ko ng 4:00AM, inabot na niya ‘to sabay sabi while smiling, “Oh, okay ba anak?”
I saw how proud she was with that pabaon na prutas.
Bigla ko tuloy naalala yung walang wala pa kami. Lalaban ako sa journalism nung highschool sa ibang probinsya, ‘tapos manghihiram kami ng pera para may pangbaon, gigising siya ng madaling araw, ‘tapos bahala na.
Hindi nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral si Mama. Sa totoo nga, wala siyang naging permanenteng trabaho. Nagbebenta lang siya ng kung ano ano dati. Pero ginawa nila ni Papa best nila para mapalaki kami.
At yung Mama ko na nagigising sa madaling araw; naggagayak ng pagkain, pinapabaunan ako, siya pa rin yung Mama ko kahit magti-trenta na ako.
Sa mga magulang nating ginagawa ang best nila para samahan tayong mangarap, salamat sa mga “pabaon” na pagmamahal na hanggang sa pagtanda, lagi naming dadalhin.”
