Lovi Poe bid goodbye to her Mokang character in ‘Batang Quiapo’
Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe received these comments from the Batang Quiapo co-star after she bade goodbye to her character Mokang.
The series with actor Coco Martin was Lovi’s second TV series as a Kapamilya. She said that it has been her dream to do a project based on her father Fernando Poe, Jr.’s projects.
Last August, it was speculated that she would leave the series for quite some time for the preparation of her wedding with Monty Blencowe.
In a recent episode of the Kapamilya primetime action-drama series, Lovi Poe officially ended her stint as her character Mokang died. Because of this, she became a trending topic online.
Many netizens talked about her portrayal of Mokang because her character was etched in the hearts of their avid viewers. Based on the article in Bandera, some of Lovi’s co-stars also shared their comments on her now that Mokang’s journey ended.
Director Darnel Villaflor said that it was an honor for him to work with the daughter of Da King. “What’s really nice of Lovi in Batang Quiapo is you really see the character of Mokang, paglabas (after shoot) iba rin. Ini-embody niya talaga ‘yung character ni Mokang on-screen na sobrang believable,” the director said.
Seasoned actress Irma Adlawan who is playing the character of Olga also shared her wonderful experience working with Lovi. For her, it was a delight to work with Lovi on or off camera. Even though they did not have a lot of scenes together, Irma is hoping that she and Lovi will see each other again. She also wished the younger actress good luck in whatever endeavor she took.
For actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi (Bubbles), working with Lovi Poe was enjoyable. She also said that Lovi is nice and kind, and she felt it was “bitin” working with her in just a short period. “Lovi, I wish you all the best in your career and in your lovelife and I hope 2024 will bring you more happiness,” Ivana said.
Veteran actor Christopher de Leon who is playing the character of Albert said that Lovi Poe is indeed a “pro” and she’s a very good actor.
