Lee Sun Kyun left a letter to his wife before he was found dead

The content of the farewell letter that Parasite actor Lee Sun Kyun wrote for his wife was revealed.

Lee has been active in the entertainment industry for many years. His most recent series Payback was released this year. The actor was under investigation over illegal drug use accusations.

Reportedly, he was not allowed to leave the country while the investigation was ongoing. He was summoned by the police on December 23 and was detained for 19 hours as part of a probe into his alleged drug use. Amid the controversy he was going through, Lee shocked the public when was found dead inside his car.

The authorities were able to locate his car which was parked at Waryong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul after his wife actress Jeon Hye-jin told the police that her husband went out and she found a note from him.

The actor died due to an apparent su!cide as briquettes were found beside him inside the car.

Based on the report from Philstar Life, Lee Sun Kyun wrote in his farewell letter that this was the only way he thought of doing amid what he was going through. The actor wrote, “There’s nothing that can be done” and “This is the only way.”

The actor, who was also known for his role in the hit series Coffee Prince, apologized to the representatives of his agency HODU&U. He was sorry for the “high” penalty fees for his advertisement and film. Lee also apologized for the financial strain of breaching contracts.

Lee’s agency confirmed this unfortunate event that happened to him. In a statement, his agency said, “We respectfully ask that you refrain from spreading false facts based on speculation and malicious reports based on them so that the deceased’s final journey will be in peace.”
