Actor Christian Bables revealed that he was a “kabit” and this happened when he was just 18 years old.
Christian has come a long way since he started his showbiz career. He is one of the most versatile actors of his generation. In 2017, he was recognized as the Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie Die Beautiful.
His portrayal of his gay character was so believable that people started to think that he was gay. Before making it big in showbiz, Christian was an ordinary young guy who was in a relationship. However, he had an affair that was unusual for his age at that time.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Christian Bables shared that back when he was 18 years old, he became a “kabit.” “During college, mga 18 ako nu’n. 2 months, pero grabe!” he said.
Fortunately, Christian found out the truth, and the relationship just lasted for a couple of months. “Hindi naman sobrang mahal, pero papunta na doon e. Kumbaga, parang naka-set yung mind ko sa pag-dive deep into the relationship. And then I found out na meron pala siyang mas nauna kesa sa akin,” the actor shared when asked if he was so in love with the girl.
He found it funny that he became a “kabit.” When asked how he found out that the girl was already in a relationship before him, the actor said that it was because of the message she sent to him.
“Na-wrong send siya. Ganda, di ba? Iba yung tawag niya sa akin, iba yung tinext niyang tawag,” Christian said. Then, he confronted the girl and asked her the wrong endearment he received.
At first, the girl did not admit it but eventually, she did spill the truth. Christian shared that the girl could not let go of her first boyfriend because of the “sustento” that she was getting. The girl was older than Christian.
“Siya yung nakipag-break! Okay naman yun kasi I know she did the right thing. Kasi kung ako, baliw ako that time. So, parang, ‘okay lang, okay lang kahit dito ako sa gilid.’ Siya yung hindi pumayag,” Christian Bables shared.
