Beauty Gonzalez has explored another movie genre
Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez reacted to being called “Horror Queen” because of the horror films she recently did.
Beauty entered the entertainment industry through the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. Then, she did some teleserye projects. She was also known as a drama actress with her protagonist and antagonist roles.
Her most recent movies are horror films such as Feng Shui 2, Abandoned, and Hellcome Home and fans are calling her “Horror Queen.”
When asked about this new tag for her, based on the article in Bandera, Beauty Gonzalez said that she does not mind being called this. In a press conference for her new movie Kampon with Derek Ramsay, the actress was asked if she was aware that her character was first to Kris Aquino, who was also called “Horror Queen.”
Beauty said that it does not matter if she was just the second choice as Kris was not able to do this due to the pandemic.
“I don’t mind. I really don’t mind. I take it as a challenge ‘coz she’s known to be a horror queen, so to be a second choice, I take it as a challenge na sana, I can do better than her and I can bring my best into this project,” Beauty said.
The Kapuso actress also thanked Quantum producer Atty. Joji Alonso for choosing her as the leading lady of Derek in this movie. She is amazed by the works that the production company has released it was an honor for her to work with Derek as well.
Beauty also shared that it was an awkward moment for her to do the love scenes with Derek. It is because the actor is the husband of her best friend Ellen Adarna but for her, this is a challenge as an actress.
“Hala, asawa pala siya ng best friend ko, pero sige, I’ll take the challenge. So, I’m happy to be here,” she said.
Previously, Derek also admitted that he felt awkward during their love scene. He was also thinking that Beauty is the best friend of his wife. However, because they are both professional, they were able to pull that off.
