In his blind item, the controversial director said that the international singer paid P1 million a night to the male celebrity. Direk Darryl also shared clues that the male celebrity is not a Kapamilya and his last name is the same as the last name of a singer.
With this, many netizens guessed that the male celebrity was Kelvin Miranda. In a now-deleted post, the Kapuso actor answered the allegations against him. He said that people can think what they want to think but they don’t know him and that he does not know them as well.

After that controversial blind item, Darryl Yap shared a conversation he had with Kelvin Miranda. The director sent a message to the actor saying that he wondered why people were pointing at him as the subject of that particular blind item.
Then, Direk Darryl congratulated Kelvin and said that he would see and work with him soon. This received a reply from the Kapuso actor. “Kaya nga direk eh. Haha nanahimik ako eh natatag ako bigla, Wala naman akong kinalaman,” he said.
