List of Qualifications for DOST Scholarship Offers
Here are the qualifications for the DOST Scholarship offers considered during the application of students.

Truth be told that getting into college nowadays requires a huge amount of money. Even when you are enrolled in state universities and colleges, there are daily expenses for the allowance as well as monthly expenses for the collective school fees. These are apart from the tuition and miscellaneous fees.
Meanwhile, if you are in search of scholarships, among the offers that you can turn to are the DOST-SEI Merit and the RA 7687. Here are the qualifications under these DOST scholarship offers:
- natural-born Filipino citizen
- graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2023-2024
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the class based on Grade 11 ranking
- graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2023-2024 and did not enroll in college yet
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
- graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class
- of good moral character and in good health
- has not earned any college units
- do not have any post-high school vocational units
- has not applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before, has applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before but did not qualify for the scholarship, or has qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award
Aside from the eligibility requirements, there are documentary requirements that applicants must prepare and submit to apply for the offers.
Thousands of Filipinos were able to finish college through the help of the DOST-SEI Merit scholarships and the offers provided under the Republic Act No. 7687 or the Science and Technology Act of 1994. The government agency has set a list of priority courses under their offers.
