Rumor has it that Willie Revillame-government TV network collab will not push through
How true is it that the supposed transfer of veteran TV host Willie Revillame to PTV 4 and IBC 13 won’t happen anymore?
Following his decision to resign from his position in ALLTV, rumors surfaced that Willie will transfer his show Wowowin to government-owned television networks. Previously, IBC 13 President and CEO Jose C. Policarpio, Jr. explained that they want to bring Willie’s show closer to the “masa.”
On the other hand, the TV network executive said that since they have no studio, the collaboration will be sort of a co-producing set-up.
In a recent article by Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Gorgy Rula, rumors surfaced that Willie Revillame’s collaboration with IBC and PTV will no longer happen.
Rula said that there is no way that they can confirm this to Willie but it was said that the TV host already told some of his friends about this. The entertainment writer also shared that they haven’t got an answer from the executives of PTV 4 regarding the status of their supposed partnership with the Wowowin host.
He also shared that the last instance they talked with PTV general manager Ms. Ana Puod was in September. At that time, the TV executive said that they will just let the “ghost month” passed by and proceed with the collaboration.
“Pero sa ngayon ay wala na kaming nababalitaan. Ang isa lang sa napagtanungan namin ay baka sa YouTube o Facebook lang daw muna mag-Wowowin si Willie,” Rula shared.
Meanwhile, veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin previously shared that there are people who are offering Willie Revillame to run for Senator in the 2025 elections. Back in 2022, the veteran TV host was also offered to run for the national elections but he refused to accept the offer.
