For the evening gown competition, Michelle Dee wore a green sparkly gown which was her tribute to her mother Melanie Marquez who also wore a green gown when she competed in the Miss Internation 1979 in which she became the first Filipina who get this title.

The gown was created by designer Mark Bumgarner who explained the inspiration behind this creation. He used 30,000 Swarovski crystals and different shades of emerald green and black. “I wanted it to shimmer just like a skin of a green viper; a symbol of wisdom, power, and transformation,” he said.

Following her amazing performance at the prelims, Michelle shared a post on her Instagram page thanking her supporters. She is also happy with her performance as she wrote, “Lumaban tayo Filipinas!!”

Nakakataba ng puso kayo! I feel so much love and I couldn’t be any more grateful to everyone who watched yesterday. Nasa exciting part na talaga tayo!!!” the Filipina beauty queen said.

She also hyped her supporters for the national costume competition that will be on November 17 (PH time.)

In the comment section, her friends in showbiz and her fellow beauty queens expressed support for her again. Her BFF actress Rhian Ramos commented, “Laban na LABAN!!!!!!!!!” while Miss Grand Philippines 2021 Samantha Panlilio commented, “LABAN NA LABAN! Makuha sa tingin.”
