The suspect in the Catherine Camilon Case was named by the PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) revealed the identity of the suspects in the Catherine Camilon Case and charges were filed.

PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 4A (Calabarzon) said that the suspects were identified by Catherine’s friend during a recent press briefing that was held at Camp Crame in Quezon City, based on the report from UNTV News and Rescue.

Reportedly that friend claimed that a conversation happened between Catherine and Maj. Allan Avena de Castro who served in PRO 4A and allegedly there were exchanges of text messages before the beauty queen’s disappearance stating how much the victim would earn.

Other suspects in the disappearance of Catherine Camilon were Jeffrey Magpantay, and two John Does. Kidnapping and serious illegal detention were filed against the suspects at the Batangas Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.

Fajardo said people would wonder why kidnapping and serious illegal detention were the cases filed against the suspects. She explained that as long as Catherine is reported missing from October 12 until this day, and no “corpse” is found, these will be the charges against the suspect but eventually, as the case progresses, new cases might be charged.

“If we find additional evidence in the coming days, these will not preclude us from filing additional cases or at least upgrade the case to another offense,” the PNP spokesperson said.

Additionally, based on the report from Canadian Inquirer, witnesses stated that Magpantay together with three men were the ones who transferred the bloodied Catherine Camilon from a Nissan Juke to a red Honda CRV on the evening of Oct. 12.
