Catherine Camilon Case – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. said that there is a significant progress in the disappearance of the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate.

After almost a month since it was reported that Catherine was missing, new developments in the investigation continue to unfold. Previously, it was reported that the authorities were already able to put in custody the person of interest.

The POI was identified to be a policeman who is also the boyfriend of the beauty queen. It was announced that the Batangas government is ready to give reward money to those who can provide information regarding Catherine’s whereabouts.

Based on the recent article in PEP, the PNP Chief has provided new update in the Catherine Camilon Case. Acorda said that there is a significant progress. However, he did not elaborate on this.

With this, he asked those who are involved to just surrender. “What can I say, there is significant progress in the investigation. And that’s why I am appealing now to those who are involved sana sumuko na,” the PNP Chief said.

It was also reported that aside from the first person of interest, the policeman who was already relieved from this duty, another person of interest was identified by the authorities.

The second POI, who is the owner of the car that Catherine drove on the day she disappeared, is already facing estafa and carnapping charges. The said person of interest gave a fake name and address in the deed of sale document of the car.

Based on the report, the authorities are also investigating the involvement of a police major in this case. However, the said police officer is not yet giving any information.

Catherine Camilon, who is also a high school teacher, was last seen by her loved ones on October 12.
