Based on the article in Bandera, Aiko Melendez shared a blind item about a celebrity who showed an undesirable attitude. The actress did not mention the whole name of the person she was referring to. She just wrote the initial “JP.”

This circulated immediately and it was inevitable for netizens to conclude that it was about Jerome Ponce. Aiko’s son Andre Yllana is part of the upcoming Viva One series titled Safe Skies, Archer in which Jerome is one of the lead stars.
In a recent interview, Jerome said that it appeared that there was just a misunderstanding. “Baka siguro pangit talaga ugali ko … Or maybe I’m antipatiko,” he jokingly said.
On a serious note, the actor explained that he has no problem with anyone and that perhaps what happened was a misunderstanding. “Perhaps I can come across as a snob at first, but you know me… I mean you guys can approach me,” Jerome explained.
Then, the actor apologized to Aiko Melendez. “Kung saan man nanggaling, I’m sorry… Miss Aiko knows people who know me,” he said. Jerome Ponce also clarified that he and Andre Yllana are okay and this was the reason why he was surprised that Aiko had that kind of post.
