Catherine Camilon News – Authorities believe that the missing Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate is still alive.
The beauty queen was reported missing on October 13. That was the time when her family could no longer contact her. On October 12, she left their home and was spotted at a mall in Batangas at around 7 in the evening.
Prior to that, her mother was still able to contact her and she said that she was at a gas station in Bauan.
In a previous report, it was stated that Catherine Camilon told her mother that she was going to a Balisong Channel, an online media company in which she was a former talent.
However, the company released a statement that the beauty queen, who is also a high school teacher, did not go to their office and that she last visited their company in 2021. Balisong channel also stressed that they have no whatsoever project with Catherine.
In a recent report from Bandera, Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, Calabarzon police chief, expressed optimism that the beauty queen is still alive. The Batangas Police Provincial Office officially declared Catherine missing on October 19.
Lucas said that he already directed his subordinates to intensify the efforts to find the Miss Grand PH candidate. He also said that the investigation is still ongoing.
“We are committing na si Catherine, we’ll bring home Catherine safe,” he said. The police chief also said that they already have an initial report but they cannot divulge the details yet. “We are very confident na itong si Miss Catherine, e, buhay pa,” Lucas stressed.
He added that the CCTV footage showing that Catherine Camilon was at a mall in Batangas was very helpful to their investigation. Seven days after the beauty queen went missing, her sister Chin-Chin Camilon expressed, “1 week na…I miss you. I love you so much!”
