From being a love team to real-life sweethearts, celebrity couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez have absolutely proved that real love takes hard work and dedication. And what was behind the camera was even more admirable.
Carla and Tom’s wedding happened in October 2021.
However, when everyone finally thought that it was their happy ending, the most tragic yet in their relationship happened. Just three months after they tied the knot, they separated.
Both of them are mum about the real reason behind the split. The actress, meanwhile, was vocal about giving the actor several chances until she gave up. As of this posting, the actress has not shared any update yet about the process of their separation.
In a previous article, the father of the actress revealed in an interview that Tom reached out to him. Rey PJ Abellana revealed that Tom asked for his help to fix their relationship. He personally went to him and asked him to help them reconcile.
He shared, “Marahil si Tom e kusang nagsadya dito at personal na kinausap ako at nakiusap sa akin na tulungan ko ang sitwasyon nilang dalawa ni Carla, na magkaayos silang dalawa.”
There were a lot of speculations online as to why they had broken up. Some people alleged that there was a third party while there were those who said that it must be because of Tom’s gender preference.
And recently, in an interview, Carla’s father refuted the allegations regarding the actor’s gender.
According to him, if the issue was the actor’s gender, it would have been impossible for them to be together for such a lengthy time. He believes that his daughter will know it right away but they’ve been for so long, an indication that his gender has nothing to do with the separation.
In the video, he believes that his daughter must have just given up considering the many problems they are facing.
