Piolo Pascual dreams of portraying this role in his future acting projects
A-list actor Piolo Pascual expressed his desire to portray the late President Ferdinand Marcos someday.
Piolo’s acting caliber is remarkable. He has already done different genres of acting projects over the course of his career in the entertainment industry. He has done drama, action, and even comedy.
For his recent acting project, he portrays a dark character in a horror film. Piolo’s movie Mallari is one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 this coming December.
Previously, he shared that this is his first horror movie and he admitted that this is going to be hard for him.
In a recent interview, based on the article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, she shared what Piolo Pascua said about the role he dreams of portraying.
The A-list actor said that if given a chance, he wants to portray the role of President Bongbong Marcos’s father. Ferdinand Marcos was the president of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986.
“I was born in 1977. But I was already alive during the EDSA revolution, naririnig ko ‘yung mga tora-tora, my mom was working for the government for almost 20 years. So I grew up during Marcos time so ‘yun lang. Nagawa ko ‘yung Ninoy Aquino sa MMK but really… I find that person interesting,” Piolo said.
To recall, he was one of the cast members of the movie Dekada 70 which was set in the Marcos regime. This was directed by Chito S. Roño and was based on the 1983 novel by Lualhati Bautista.
Meanwhile, aside from his acting career, Piolo is also busy doing concerts. He will have his Ultimate Heartthrob concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, on October 20. He will also have a concert tour in the US. Fans of Piolo Pascual will surely get excited as he is set to do a series.
The A-list actor also starred in the Ibarra musical in the theater just recently. In order to prepare for this role, he said that he read a lot of books about Jose Rizal.
