Homeowner Brings Good Vibes Online After Flexing Aesthetic Look of their Bathroom w/ Touch of Pinoy Culture

A male homeowner goes viral online after flexing the aesthetic look of their bathroom with a touch of Pinoy culture.

Jefferson Mejia, a Facebook user, shared the photos of their bathroom but with an intriguing twist that resonates with Pinoy culture. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

Mejia shared the story behind their uniquely designed restroom, which, despite its modern aesthetics, still features the traditional “walis tingting” and “timba”.

The homeowner explained that their house underwent a renovation to welcome his parents back from abroad. However, it was his grandmother and cousin who currently reside in the house.

Pina-renovate po kasi yung bahay namin where I grow up para maayos naman pag-uwi ng parents ko from abroad. Then ang nakatira sa bahay is lola ko and pinsan ko na lang po. Feeling ko lola ko naglagay nun kasi nakasanayan na nga, wala po kasi flush or bidet yung dati naming cr,” Mejia said.

Jefferson suspects that it was his grandmother who insisted on including these traditional Filipino bathroom items because she was accustomed to using them. Their old bathroom lacked a flush and bidet, making the “timba” and “tabo” essential.

“Goal ko talaga yung aesthetic design dahil syempre yun ang uso at maganda naman kasi talaga at malinis tignan. ’Di na po kasi dapat gumamit ng timba or tabo dahil nga po de-flush na at may bidet naman na haha para malinis tignan at wala ng clutters. Kaso di malet go ng lola ko yung nakasanayan na timba at tabo,” he added.

The netizens who appreciate the blend of modern aesthetics with the preservation of Pinoy cultural elements expressed their reactions to the uniquely designed bathroom.
