Transitioning to McLaren, she will compete under the banner of ART Grand Prix in the upcoming 2024 F1 Academy season. According to F1’s official website, this makes Bustamante the first female driver to become part of this development programme, designed to support young racers in advancing their motorsport careers.

Her PREMA teammate, Marta Garcia, is leading the championship with 235 points. Bustamante achieved her first career win at the F1 Academy Race back in May.
