Ingredients to prepare:

  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, peeled, sliced
  • 1 small head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 pack snow peas (sitsaro), trimmed
  • 1 pack young corn, cut into 2-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 large red bell pepper, seeded, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cup leftover chicken, shredded
  • salt and ground black pepper

3 Easy Steps in Cooking Chopsuey:

Step 1 – Put a large pan over a medium heat and add the onion. Wait until it becomes translucent and then add the ginger and garlic. According to Yummy, cook until the garlic and ginger’s fragrance can be sensed.

Step 2 – Add the chicharo, the cauliflower, and the young corn with water and then cover the pan. Based on the recipe, let it simmer and then toss the red bell peppers.
