Lady Netizen Swaps Candies and Cash for Stray Kitten
A lady netizen goes viral online after offering candies and a certain amount of cash in exchange of a stray kitten.
Pauline Joy Cruz, a Facebook user, shared a photo of a stray kitten she found during her store visit at SM South Mall. The post quickly circulated online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The lady netizen recounted the day when she was on duty, needing to return to her home base after work. To reach her destination, she had to cross an overpass to catch a jeepney heading towards Heritage.
Cruz spotted a young child, estimated to be between three to five years old, clutching a kitten by the scruff of its neck, attempting to lower it down the overpass steps. She was moved and couldn’t watch the little kitten in distress.
Approaching the child, she kindly offered to take the kitten off their hands, offering candies and some money in return.
To show her sincerity, Pauline even displayed a paper bag filled with candy wrappers and a few coins. The child agreed to the exchange, and other children nearby also approached her, seeking spare change and candies.
The cat lover placed the kitten gently inside the paper bag she had brought along for the journey.
