Sylvia Sanchez is close to Andrea Brillantes
Seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez made a revelation about Senior High lead actress Andrea Brillantes.
Sylvia is part of the cast of the new Kapamilya series. Previously, she shared why she accepted the school security guard role in this project. The award-winning actress said that it was her intention to stay away from making teleseryes for quite a while.
However, when this role was offered to her, she immediately said yes because this is far from the usual mother roles she did and her character has a big impact on the story.
During the press conference for the series that tackles mental health issues, Sylvia Sanchez shared a story about Andrea Brillantes, based on the article in PEP.
The seasoned actress said that her relationship with Blythe, Andrea’s real name goes beyond showbiz. Andrea was just eight years old when she became part of the E-Boy series.
During that time, the young actress was already frequently visiting Atayde’s house. She became close to Sylvia’s daughter Gela. “Ngayon, sa sinasabi niya na nung sobrang down siya, nandun ako, nandun ang pamilya ko, nakita ko yun,” the seasoned actress said.
Then, Sylvia is happy for Andrea now. She shared that she would often say to Andrea to be strong because there is no one who could help her but herself. The seasoned actress also taught the younger actress how to deal with bashers.
“Yung mga bashers, wag mong intindihin ang mga yan, bashers lang yan. Maganda, pangit ang gagawin mo, nandiyan sila. Haters lang ang bashers, wala silang kuwenta sa buhay natin,” Sylvia said.
The seasoned actress also shared that as a young girl, Andrea had insecurities because she thought that she was not beautiful. Sylvia would tell her that she is beautiful and that she is good.
Sylvia added that with everything that was happening to Andrea these past months, she is just silent as she observed the younger actress.
“Ang layo ng Blythe na kilala ko na eight years old sa Blythe ngayon, at natutuwa ako. Lagi kong sasabihin sa iyo na yung lakas ng loob, tapang, tiwala sa sarili, ‘Nak, ha, dalhin mo yan palagi,” she shared.
