Kapamilya actress Sofia Andres had this answer when was asked about having regrets about being pregnant at an early age.
The first time Sofia Andres told her parents about her pregnancy, she showed them an ultrasound scan. She expected them to be angry but they took it better than she expected.
The father of her daughter is Daniel Miranda. He and Sofia went to Australia together. She spent her pregnancy and gave birth there because Daniel was studying Business Administration in Sydney.
Looking back on becoming a parent, she learned that loving is not about perfection. And becoming a mother at the age of 21, she has come a long way in terms of having to mature earlier.
In one of her Instagram posts, she shared some thoughts running through her head about love and in one post, she mentioned something about being a young parent. She admitted to feeling surprised when it happened but there was no regret.
“It took me by surprise when I became pregnant at a young age, but I will never regret the moment I discovered I was going to be a mom,” she said.
Being a 25-year-old mom now, she found fulfillment in her lifelong role. Being a mother and a partner at the same is not an easy task. She needs balance, sacrifice, and learning as she shuffles herself in these roles but it is in this sense that she is able to understand why love is not about chasing perfection.
Love, for her, is about “being there for one another, supporting each other, and cherishing the imperfect moments” that make the relationships real.
