Eruption reacts to the recent It’s Showtime controversy

It’s Showtime Controversy – Showbiz personality Eric “Eruption” Tai shared his thoughts to the recent controversy that the Kapamilya noontime show.

Eruption became part of the Kapamilya noontime show years ago. Just recently, the show was under fire. It is because of the controversial icing incident that involved celebrity couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez.

Eventually, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) released a decision suspending the Kapamilya noontime show because of that incident.

In line with this, Eruptuon was asked to react during a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star. He said that the hosts of the show should learn from what happened.

On the other hand, he said that he does not the deeper story about the incident but they are in the position to entertain people and there are situations that people might get offended.

With this, the former It’s Showtime host said that they being careful is a must. “Kung ano ‘yung klaseng situation ‘yung ginagawa natin kailangang mag-ingat lang tayo kasi there’s kids watching. Kids probably won’t understand it that way pero other people will say ‘hey, hey, panget ‘yan’,” he said.

Then, Eruption was asked if he is supporting the Kapamilya noontime show in its current predicament. He said that he is no longer part of the show but he will always appreciate what the show did for his career.

He also stressed that he has nothing negative to say in general regarding the show but he stressed the importance of being careful in front of the camera.

I supported in a way that it was where I started my career and I’m always thankful for them. But I have nothing negative to say in general on what’s going on but the only thing I can say is just be safe on how we conduct ourselves on TV,” Eruption said.
