Pia Wurtzbach had a successful book launch
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is officially an author now as she recently launched her boo Queen of the Universe and she appreciated the overwhelming support that she received.
Pia continued to inspire a lot of people even after her reign as Miss Universe. She is the third Pinay Miss Universe who brought pride to the Philippines and many beauty queens aspire to follow her journey.
Just recently, she added a new achievement under her name. Pia released her book and she admitted that she was quite nervous at first about what could happen next.
In an Instagram post on September 17, after her book launch, she said that she was overwhelmed by the love she received from the fans. “Honestly, I was nervous as the Manila International Book Fair was drawing closer…but seeing all your tags, stories, posts and reels (some of you even quote words from the book) got me sooo KILIG!” the former beauty queen said.
She was also aware that there were those who really made an effort to be there at 5:30 AM for the meet and greet. With this, she said that she couldn’t find any words to express how grateful she was.
Pia also shared that she thought this project would no longer push through and that her book would just be shelved. However, she said that dreams do come true as what she dreamed became a reality now.
The Miss Universe 2015 also stressed that books or printed materials are indeed still alive. She encouraged the public to support authors and novelists, especially Filipinos. With what she went through while doing this project, Pia said that she now understands the “blood, sweat, and tears” that authors exert just to create their masterpieces.
“Let’s continue to write stories that will allow us to express and learn about ourselves. Let’s continue to read so that we too can learn about other people’s struggles and strengths,” Pia Wurtzbach said.
