CLASH OF THE TITANS SUMMARY – Here is a summary of the famous Greek Mythology tale starting on how the Earth was created.

Clash of the Titans Summary
Based on the Theogony of Hesiod, only chaos was there at the beginning in the midst of dense darkness. The chaos caused the Earth, mountains, sea, sky (Uranus), sun, moon, and stars. Then the Earth and Uranus or sky gave birth to the Titans. However, the sky was afraid that one of his children might take his throne so he enclosed every one of them in the Earth depths.
Amid the pursuit of Uranus to protect his throne, his strongest son, Cronus, defeated him and took the throne. He married Rhea with whom he had two (2) gods, Hades and Poseidon, and three (3) godesses, Hera, Hestia, and Demeter.
However, Cronus himself also became afraid of being replaced by any of his children as he believed that one (1) of them will take his throne like what he did. He swallowed them when they were born to prevent it — one of the highlights of the Clash of the Titans summary.
However, his wife Rhea kept their sixth son behind his knowledge as she feared that he would share the same fate with his older brothers and sisters. She gave birth on a mountain crete to a son named Zeus. She wrapped a stone in swaddling clothes and gave it to Cronus to swallow tricking her husband.
It was the nymphs that took care of Zeus and he was raised with goat’s milk. When he grew up, he found Cronus and tricked him by mixing wine with mustard to get the contents of his stomach out. His fully grown older brothers and sisters were released and this is when the clash of the titans and the gods began.
Zeus led the gods in a battle that lasted for a decade. They defeated the titans and threw them into Tartarus, a dark and gloomy place. The gods settled in Mount Olympus.
