Walang Pasok September 5: Classes Suspended In These Areas

WALANG PASOK SEPTEMBER 5 – These are the areas that declared class suspension on Tuesday due to enhanced habagat.

According to the state weather bureau PAGASA in its 11 AM bulletin on Monday, the habagat was enhanced by Typhoon Hanna. It will bring occasional monsoon rains. Due to the weather forecast, these areas announced class suspensions.

WALANG PASOK – These cities officially declared class suspensions due to bad weather caused by the southwest monsoon.

Some areas suspended classes for Tuesday, September 5, due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.

Typhoon Hanna left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but continues to enhance the southwest monsoon. Based on a previous article, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Hanna was erratic off the coast of southwestern Taiwan moving south southwestward slowly as per the September 4 weather update.

Despite leaving the PAR, it continues to enhance the habagat.

With the inclement weather brought on by the southwest monsoon, some cities in the country have already declared walang pasok or class suspension for September 5, Tuesday.

Here are the areas, so far:


  • Rizal
    • Montalban – all levels (public and private)

Central Luzon

  • Bulacan – all levels (public and private)
  • Pampanga
    • Mabalacat – all levels (public and private)
    • Masantol – face-to-face classes, all levels (public and private)
  • Angeles City – face-to-face classes, all levels (public and private)
  • Tarlac
    • Capas – all levels (public and private)
  • Zambales – all levels (public and private)

Ilocos Region

  • Pangasinan
    • Basista – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
    • Bugallon – all levels (public and private)
    • Infanta – all levels (public and private)
  • Dagupan City – preschool to senior high school (public)


The typhoon did not make landfall in the Philippines but it will in Guangdong or Fujian in China on Tuesday morning or afternoon as forecasted. Hanna will make landfall as a severe tropical storm.

Meanwhile, gusty conditions due to the enhanced southwest monsoon in these areas for September 5:

  • Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, southern part of Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Kalayaan Islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, most of Calabarzon
