The GSIS is a state-run social insurance institution mainly for the employees of the government and the public sector. A membership to the said state entity is mandated to public employees.

Every month, GSIS members submit a contribution or savings based on their salary rate. These contributions can qualify a member for the benefits and loans that it offers to qualified members just like the GSIS Enhanced Conso-Loan Plus.
